Welcome to Top Dog Events! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, www.topdogevents.com ("Site"), and the services we offer ("Services"). By accessing or using our Site and Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or Services.
2. Services Overview
Top Dog Events provides a platform for clubs to create and organise events, manage entries, and for competitors to purchase entries to these events.
3. User Responsibilities
- Clubs: Clubs are responsible for creating and managing their events, including providing accurate event details, managing entries, and handling any issues that arise with their events.
- Competitors: Competitors are responsible for ensuring that their entry details are accurate and for adhering to the rules and guidelines set forth by the event organisers.
4. Account Registration
To use certain features of our Site, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activities or actions under your account.
5. User-Generated Content
Users may submit content to the Site, including event details, descriptions, and other related materials. By submitting content, you grant Top Dog Events a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly display, translate, and create derivative works of your content.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Top Dog Events or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content from the Site without our prior written permission.
7. Privacy

8. Payments, Refunds and Fees
- Payments: Competitors can purchase entries to events through our Site. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By using Stripe, you agree to comply with Stripe's terms and conditions. Entries and orders are not considered complete until payment has been made in full.
- Refunds: Refunds for event entries are subject to the terms and conditions set forth by the event organisers. If an organiser allows it, Top Dog Events will process refunds for cancelled entries while an event is ‘Open’. In all other circumstances, Top Dog Events is not responsible for issuing refunds.
- Fees: Creating an account is free. However, fees apply to list an event and to buy/sell paid entries or registrations. Event organisers may determine whether these fees will be passed along to consumers and shown as “Online processing fees” on applicable entries. The fees charged to consumers may include other charges, including facility fees, royalties, taxes, processing fees, and fulfillment fees. This means that the fees paid by consumers for an event are not necessarily the same as those charged by us to the applicable event organiser. Additionally, some fees are meant to defray costs incurred by us but may in some cases include an element of profit and in other cases an element of loss. Online processing fees are not refundable.
9. Payments for Organisers
By default, Top Dog Events will collect all payments for an event on behalf of the organiser. This allows Top Dog Events to automatically process any refunds while the event is collecting entries. Once an event has concluded, the balance of collected payments will be transferred to the organiser, minus any agreed platform fees. This transfer will be facilitated either directly to the organiser's bank account via Stripe, or from Top Dog Events via bank transfer, which will incur an additional processing fee. In the event that platform fees are due but there is no balance to transfer, Top Dog Events will issue an invoice to the organiser for the outstanding amount. The balance of payments can be released to the organiser at any time by request.
10. Disclaimers and Liability
- Accuracy of Content: While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information on the Site.
- Third-Party Links: Our Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of these third-party websites.
- Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Top Dog Events shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from (a) your use or inability to use the Site; (b) any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein; (c) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Site.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Site at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site or Services will be resolved in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
