Why can't I find my dog??

Top Dog Events uses the Dogs Australia Database to ensure all dog details are accurately entered according to their registration. Occasionally, there may be instances where no data is returned from Dogs Australia. This page will explain possible reasons and offer suggestions for resolving the issue.

  • Please double-check that the number you're entering is correct and that you're using your dog's registration number, not your own.
  • If your dog is on a limited register, try removing the "LR" at the end of the number and search again.
  • The most common reason for this issue is that the dog record isn't properly linked to an active / financial membership. This could be due to:
    • An expired membership
    • A membership not correctly flagged as financial
    • Other miscellaneous clerical errors
Please contact your local Dogs Australia representative (contact details can be found here). They can quickly review your and your dog’s records in their system. Most states can identify errors right away and either correct them or advise you on what you need to do. Keep in mind that any changes made at the state level won’t appear in the central Dogs Australia database until the following day.
